alone 和lonely
alone做形容词，一般只做表语，不做定语。意思是单独的，独自的；做副词时，只用在名词和代词意为 独自；单独；只有。
Here parents were dead and she was alone.他的双亲死了，她独自一人。
He alone knows it.他是唯一知道此事的人。
lonely只做形容词，既可以做表语，又可以做定语，指一种心理状态，意思是寂寞，孤独。
指地方的时候，意思是偏僻的；僻静的。
He doesn't feel lonely when he is alone.他独自一人时，也不感到孤独。
This is a lonely island.这是一座荒岛。
