乡村四月
【宋】翁 卷
绿遍山原白满川,子规声里雨如烟。
乡村四月闲人少,才了蚕桑又插田。
翁卷,字续古,一字灵舒,乐清(今属浙江)人,南宋诗人,生卒年不详。工诗,为“永嘉四灵”之一。以诗游士大夫间。有《四岩集》《苇碧轩集》。
WENG Juan, styled Continuing the Past, Flexible & Carefree, born in Yueqing (present-day Zhejiang Province). He was a poet in the Southern Song dynasty, whose birth and death years are unknown. Being good at writing poems, he was one of the “Four Brilliant Poets in Yongjia”. Weng communicated with the scholar-officials through poetry. He authored An Anthology of Four Rocks, and An Anthology of Green Reed Study. (张健彪译)

Rain like mist through the cuckoo’s coo so keen.
Few folks are idle now it’s the fourth moon;
Having raised silkworms, they transplant rice soon.
